Naomi Watt’s diet is the popular zone diet, which aims to maintain a balance in the body’s hormones through eating specifically prepared, balanced meals in the following ratio: of Carbohydrates (40%), fat (30%) and proteins (30%).

This diet aims to control the insulin production within the body so it could function at its best.

“I haven’t even done much exercise yet (and) I eat more now than I did when I was pregnant!”  ”I was hungry the whole time and I’m still hungry all the time!”  Naomi is said to eat a lot of vegetables, and she uses portion control to stay slim.

“I’m close to my pre-baby figure.” She says. “They say breastfeeding burns a lot of calories, but I also eat right and exercise. There’s no magic pill, no easy way.”

Her workout routine include Pilates Exercises that she does two times per a week.Naomi is a big fan of pilates.  She did pilates throughout both of her pregnancies, and continued to do pilates to lose her pregnancy weight.  To lose her baby weight Naomi hired a personal trainer.  ”Three weeks before we started filming ‘The International’ I decided that I better get into changing my body back again. And they gave me a trainer and it was very effective and also breast feeding. That’s how you drop weight. Even though you’re just eating all the time he is eating too.”

The 40-year-old actress is already close to her pre-baby figure since giving birth to her second just about a month ago. She owes it all to breastfeeding. Naomi explained to People magazine that her son is “sucking it all out of me, it seems. And when the baby comes out, it’s a lot of weight right there.”

While it’s true that breastfeeding does burn up a lot of calories, solely nursing to lose baby weight isn’t the magic pill. It’s a combination of that, eating right, and exercising that can help a new mom shrink down to the size she was before becoming pregnant. It is good to remember that some women just lose baby weight more easily than others; I think genes play a role in this process.

“Pilates is like, heaven-sent!” Naomi affirms. “It reduced my back pin, improved my posture and strengthened my muscles. It’s really amazing.”
