The retired tennis star is one of two new trainers on Season 12 of the NBC reality TV program The Biggest Loser, along with Dolvett Quince replacing trainer Jillian Michaels. The magazine will hit newsstands on October 18, 2011.

Anna Kournikova’s diet is primarily based on portion control. She eats healthy Foods to keep her in shape and doesn’t completely limit herself from anything she likes. She claims, “I don’t like restricting certain groups or certain types of food. I think everything in moderation is really the best way to go. I try to eat as healthy as I can, which is not always possible.”

Anna Kournikova’s diet plan during typical days is oat meals with berries in the morning, raw almonds plus one banana during snack. Then during lunch, a salad containing grilled chicken, avocado, olives, mushrooms, and other vegetables. Then during dinner, she eats a seaweed salad, vegetables, sushi, a shrimp tempura, and a small piece of cheesecake. She also stated, “I don’t eat three desserts, or anything like that, but I’m working out and training every day so I don’t worry about what I eat” which just shows she keeps everything balance to get that great shape.

The stunningly toned 5’8.5″ Russian beauty is a workout fanatic who lifts weights, plays tennis, runs and swims to maintain her sleek bikini body.

“I exercise about an hour a day,” said Anna, whose workout includes 30 minutes of weight-lifting and 45 minutes of cardio.

Anna Kournikova’s exercise routine primarily includes a 45-minute calorie burning cardio, swimming and running. She runs four times a week from 45 minutes to 1 hour. For a maintenance workout, Anna also includes 30 minutes of weight lifting to tone her body and of course, tennis.

“I’ve been playing tennis since I was a child.” She says. “It’s a part of my life.”

To intensity the workout she suggests adding in some cardio bursts — jumprope (with a rope or make pretend) for 30 seconds after each exercise.

Anna Kournikova also offers some motivational tips for exercising to lose weight: Envision the benefits of the workout when you feel like quitting. Start slowly and set small realistic goals. Working out daily for a short period of time keeps you in the habit and is preferable to longer workouts just a few times a week.
